The extensive portfolio of photographic artist Carol Westwood (1942-2011), a native New Yorker who lived in Los Angeles for many years, includes a diverse array of subjects: animals, nudes, American and European cities, and portraits. Additionally, she worked on special and still photography for numerous motion picture and television productions in Hollywood; the archive of her entertainment and celebrity images was distributed internationally by Gamma, Liaison International, Stone Images, and Getty images from 1988-2003. Looking up the hillside towards the Chemosphere, located on the San Fernando Valley side of Mount Olympus, a community in the Hollywood Hills. Designed by John Lautner in 1960, the Modernist octagonal house at 7776 Torreyson Drive is a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument.
