"Entered according to Act of Congress in the year 1863 by J.W. Waterman in the Clerks Office of the District Court of the Southern District of Ohio."--text, bottom right margin. "Mustered into United States Service October 4th, 1862. / By Lieut. C. J. Ball, 13th Inf. U. S. A. At Keokuk, Iowa."--text, bottom center of image.
