Description
Photograph of excursionists from the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce leaving Honolulu, Hawaii, 1907. A crowd of people can be seen standing on a concrete floor which extends from the foreground to the right. Behind the crowd, a wooden fence runs along the people towards the right background. In the left foreground, next to the fence, large metallic buoys are observable while people are sitting on them and close by. A body of water is visible behind the fence, showing a small man-made island with an oil tower and a small cabin on it a boat is visible next to it. Further in the back, factories and buildings cover the background area. Mountain silhouettes serve as the backdrop.
