This is side B of the ninth tape of recordings of a course taught by Peter Drucker in 1978. He opens with a discussion on banks and how the strategies used for business and banking are very different. He also discusses legal restrictions on insurance companies, The Hartford Financial Services Group, and when a company outgrows its founder. Drucker then discusses the function of a board of directors and why it is particularly important in the public service industry. He also tells some stories about a few of the United States presidents, and brings up some of their strengths and weaknesses.
