Description
As shown in circa 1996 and looking to the northeast, is the California State Capitol building at Tenth Street, between L and N streets. The building's most prominent feature, its dome, was first covered with natural copper, until 1893, when it was painted green with white ribs. In 1948, to commemorate the discovery of gold, it was painted a mustard, yellow, and gold color.
