Description
Woman wears a light gray dress with an empire waist. The dress has a wide gray, lace flounce at the hem. Under the bodice is a white chemisette with a collar composed of many white ruffles up to the chin. Over her dress, the woman wears a ankle length open, deep purple long-sleeved pelisse coat, which is lined and trimmed with white fur with black spots, probably ermine. Another row of fur forms a small cape over the shoulders. The woman wears light gray boots and gloves. Her poke bonnet is deep purple, lined with white, trimmed with a gray-blue plume, and tied under the chin with a deep purple bow. She stands in front of an ornately carved white bench upholstered in pink. A large black spotted white fur muff sits on the bench.
