Description
Stereo-4300. Yellow mount, green back. Shows Thomas Moran beside stream with catch of fish, possibly in Yellowstone area. "A capital likeness of Thomas Moran. His name written on other side by Prof. Hayden, I think, N.S." -- handwritten on verso. "Department of the Interior, U.S. Geological Survey of the Territories, Prof. F. V. Hayden, in charge." Thomas Moran accompanied William Henry Jackson on Hayden Geological Survey of 1871.
