Description
Photograph of Mission San Juan (Jose) de Agueyo from side, San Antonio, Texas, ca.1898. At center, the bell tower on the corner of the church is prominent. Beside the bell tower, a small cylindrical structure is visible with a circular hole at its midsection. A decorative window can be seen along the body of the church further to the right. To the immediate left of the bell tower, a small cemetery can be seen. In the extreme background at left, the granary (with stone buttresses) can be seen. This was the second mission in San Antonio.
