Description
Photograph caption dated December 30, 1988 reads, "An acrobatic elephant stretches forward to get its belly squirted in preparation for a stroll down Colorado Boulevard in Monday's Tournament of Roses Parade. The pachyderm, one of three to get a scrubbing Friday by dozens of sponge-wielding children in the parking lot of the Glen Rock car wash in Eagle Rock, will pull a circus float carrying children from Ronald McDonald House, a treatment center for young cancer patients."
