The nearly square central dais inside the building and comprising two platforms and measuring 113 by 106 feet, served to locate the relic casket while four monks seated on the stone pedestals of the cardinal directions read the code of discipline. The monks had to meet every two weeks, on the full-moon and the new-moon days.
