Description
Photograph caption dated September 4, 1956 reads "Chung Wah Drum and Bugle Corps, sponsored by Glendale Legion Post 817, marches in seven and a half hour long Legion parade. Glendale entry was one of several from Valley area that participated in march." The American Legion held its 38th annual national convention in Los Angeles. The parade route through University Park followed Figueroa Street, Jefferson Boulevard and South Coliseum Drive, ending with a celebration in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.; See images #00145661 through #00145664 for all photos in this series.
