Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated April 27, 1961 reads "Hand tool removes electronic tubes." The article partially reads "Edwards Air Force Base is a happy hunting ground for machinist Sidney Zalk. He will be allowed to keep all royalties from the electronic tube-remover he perfected through use of the base's prototype facilities. Edwards AFB legal advisors helped him with his patent search to learn whether the device had ever been invented. Zalk is now waiting for a patent on a 'breakaway' film reel."
