Title supplied by cataloger. Crabbe was a winning olympian who competed in both 1928 (bronze medalist for the 1,500 metres freestyle) and 1932 (gold medalist for the 400 metres freestyle). In the 1950s, he was a popular film and television actor, who portrayed such characters as Tarzan and Buck Rogers. Buster Crabbe poses in a LAAC (Los Angeles Athletic Club) swimming suit next to the silver trophy he won for the second annual one-mile rough-water swim held on May 10, 1930. The swim started in Santa Monica at the Deauville Beach Club and finished at the Sea Breeze Club. Photograph dated July 8, 1930.
