The first photograph caption dated January 11, 1981 reads, "In Century City, office vacancy rate is less than 1 percent, while in downtown L.A., the Wells Fargo Building, scheduled to be completed by November, is 80 percent leased already." The second caption dated June 30, 1985 reads, "Century City, the queen of urban complexes in the Los Angeles region, has launched a campaign to renovate its image, giving a facelift to the 25 year old area."
