Description
Photograph of the Hotel Imperial at Imperial, Imperial County, in the desert near the Mexican border, ca.1910. Ten tall columns support the roof and balony of this rectangular brick building in this perspective. Two hammocks are strung on the balcony which runs around the perimeter of the building. About a dozen people relax in chairs in the shade at the end of the hotel at right. A large puddle of water is in the dirt street in front of the hotel. Two other adjacent buildings are partially visible. A legible sign on one column reads "Doctor Bold".
