Used in the Exhibit: Play by Play - A Century of L.A. Sports Photography, 1889-1989 Walker Smith, better known as Sugar Ray Robinson, winding up the left hook that will knock out Carl "Bobo" Olsen in the fourth round of their middleweight championship fight at Wrigley Field. Acclaimed as the best pound-for-pound fighter, Robinson won the middleweight title on five different occasions. After his retirement, he settled in Los Angeles to run the Ray Robinson Youth Foundation. He died in 1989. Photo dated: May 18, 1956.
