Description
Photograph article dated February 16, 1963 partially reads, "Stephen DiFrancesco sat on a patch of green grass alongside the Hollywood Freeway, smoking a cigarette and rubbing his bare feet. He had just completed the first leg of his 50-mile walk from Sun Valley to Sun Valley via Los Angeles City Hall. DiFrancesco, 40, a candidate for the first district seat on the City Council, left his campaign headquarters at 8059 Vineland Ave. at 8:30 a.m. Friday." Candidate Di Francesco walks to Los Angeles City Hall. With him was reporter Nita Biss, but only briefly.
