The Southern Pacific Railroad built the Arcade Station in 1885. It replaced the adobe house of William Wolfskill. It was demolished in 1914 and replaced with the Central Station, a larger and more modern railroad passenger depot. It, too, was later demolished.; Panoramic view is looking southeast from near 3rd and Spring Streets. The 3rd and Spring Street intersection is in the extreme lower right. The Southern Pacific Arcade Station can be seen in the upper left, facing the open fields of the Wolfskill Ranch. Also visible is the Battle of Paris Panorama located near 3rd and Main Streets.
