Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Guadalupe adobe in Santa Barbara, September 4, 1937. A two-story building with a dilapidated, sloped, shingled roof can be seen at center. The roof hangs over the front porch. A group of five children can be seen standing in a group on the porch, while an automobile is visible to the right of them. What appears to be a pile of tree branches can be seen obscuring most of the automobile, while a tree can be seen at right. A clothesline is visible at left, while trees can be seen in the background. Plants grow on the ground in the foreground. Photoprint reads: "one of the two original rancho buildings still standing and the only original shingle roof -- still in use".
