In this letter addressed to his wife Maris, Doddridge thanks her for her letter and writes: "You will God willing see me on Monday. I long to be with you." The letter is written on irregularly cut paper, with some of the edges frayed or otherwise uneven. The letter dated June 8 with no year given, though some transcriptions guess that the year may have been 1734 or around that time.
