Description
The Huntington Hotel, a Mission style resort hotel "where the sunshine spends the winter", was designed by architects Myron Hunt and Charles Whittlesey and built from 1906 to 1916. The hotel is situated on 23 lush acres nestled at the base of the San Gabriel Mountain foothills, and features 380 elegant guestrooms, suites, and cottages, over 50,000 square feet of meeting space, extensive gardens, three tennis courts, a heated pool, whirlpool, and the luxurious 11,000 sq ft. Huntington Spa. The Huntington Hotel became the Huntington Sheraton in the 1930s; it was restored to its turn-of-the-century grandeur by Ritz-Carlton in 1991, after languishing for several years due to earthquake damage; and changed hands once again in 2008, becoming The Langham, Huntington Hotel & Spa. This majestic hotel has been a Pasadena landmark since 1907.
Jean Harlow uses a small movie camera to film an unidentified friend who is holding a racket with both hands. Several spectators can be seen sitting behind them.; Similar to image 00081843.
