Description
A panoramic view of the Fourth of July crowd at the beach in Long Beach. There are hundreds of people, in a mixture of suits and dresses, and bathing suits. Many of the people are sitting beneath the dozens of beach umbrellas on the left side of the image. Beyond the umbrellas is the Pike, an amusement park with shops and rides, like the tall spiral slide in the background. Further in the distance, on the right, a pier extends into the water. Writing in white in the center of the image reads "Long Beach, Calif. - July 4th, 1923". Farther to the right is more writing in white which reads "Photo No. 268 ; The Aerograph Co. ; 1763 W. Vernon ; L.A. - Calif."
