Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Mission San Gabriel, February 26, 1931. The large, thin, front wall of the mission is shown moving from the left foreground into the right distance, where the steps to the entrance can be seen. One of the bells is partially visible in one of the six portholes where they hang, in the left side of the wall. Farther down, a shingled roof and a small bed of plants can be seen to the far left, surrounded by three-foot tall wall. Palm branches drape into the frame from above.
