Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Palmyra Hotel in Orange, California, ca.1905. A row of palm trees ordered in descending height from right to left stands just in front of the entrance to the wide, two-story hotel, which features clapboard siding and a wrap-around upper balcony, as well as a porch below. Letters are painted along the bottom of the balcony to the right, identifying the hotel. Farther back, a second, presumably separate building of a similar style can be seen. A paved sidewalk cuts through from the front steps of the hotel through the grass in front, which is unkempt. The road, visible in the extreme foreground, appears to be unpaved. Tree branches hang in from either side.
