Image shows view along west side of the Edward I. Martin residence, located on Paseo del Mar on lot 7, block 1511, tract 6886 in Malaga Cove. View is through arched entranceway with wooden gate to rose garden, looking northwest at ground level. Entranceway to the guest room is visible in center background. Gardens were designed by the Olmsted brothers. According to the building permit card #129, the large Spanish style two-story home with attached three-car garage was built by the Palos Verdes Home Association as Project House #7. It is featured in the Palos Verdes Bulletin of April 1928, which includes a detailed plan of the house. The home was later owned by James de Silva.
