Scope/Content: Golden State Mutual Public Relations Director Harold Toliver and Librarian Miriam Matthews at exhibit featuring pieces from the Company's African American Art Collection. Matthews worked as a consultant for Golden State Mutual in the 1940s conducting research for the "Negro in California History" murals. The wood sculpture pictured here is "El Abrazo" by Elizabeth Catlett.
