Description: Astronomer Nicholas Mayall, of the Lick Observatory, writes to EPH, thanking him for loaning a plate of M31 made on the 48" Schmidt telescope. He then details the survey work they have done with the plate and lists the data they have accumulated. He is going to send some enlargements made off of a negative EPH loaned him. He is looking forward to another meeting, and hopes to talk about velocities of resolved nebulae.
