Description
Californians were agreeably thrilled by the first Field Hockey game of the Olympic program which resulted in the customary victory for India by an 11 to 1 score. The victim was Japan. However Japan scored a goal in the second half on a splendid shot by Harahiko Kon making it the first time the Indians' have been scored upon in Olympic competition. Photo shows Kon's shot hitting the net. Photograph dated August 5, 1932.
