Før afrejsen fra Danmark havde jeg fået et brev fra Sundar og Daniel, hvor de bad mig tage 25 blokfløjter med, for dem ville de gerne lære at spille på i projektet. Senere købte vi flere i Madras. Pigerne og jeg kunne i begyndelsen slet ikke tale sammen. "With 80 students in the class" - A Danish teacher in the Arcot School Project is telling: One of the first thing I did, was to teach these 6 girls from Siloam Boarding School to play a recorder. Ahead of leaving Denmark, I had a letter from Sundar and Daniel requesting me to bring 25 recorders, so they could learn to play these in the project. Later we bought some more in Madras. At first, the girls and I were not at all able to communicate. However, fun to realize that after some time we had made our own personal language as a mixture of English and Tamil.
