Photograph caption dated November 10, 1953 reads, "Elyse Knox Harmon, honorary mayor of North Hollywood, breaks ground for Jantzen Knitting Mills Co., 7325 Radford Ave. Watching, left to right, are Harold Grubman, president of company which will manufacture brassieres bearing Jantzen label; Jack Michel, of Janzen [sic] company; Mrs. Grubman, Miss Judy Grubman, and H. J. Penfield Jr., president of North Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. Building will cost $350,000, and plant will employ 500 persons."
