"Hollywood, Cal."--text, on negative. Title devised by cataloger; date supplied by cataloger based on the history of the Earl Carroll Theatre which closed in 1948 and was re-opened as the Moulin Rouge (and the sign changed) in 1953. Earlier images of the Earl Carroll Theatre don't have the signature wall and the sign has yet to be changed from "Earl Carroll Theatre." Automobiles appear to be from the early 1950s before the club re-opened. Related item appears to have been created on the same day.
