Title
A fire line around a donkey setting on the Michigan California operation ready for burning at night. Note the debris and down snag which would be a menace from fire unless removed. The old rotten Douglas fir and thirty young Sugar pine will not be injured by the fire but within the line were five little sugar pines, twelve white fir, seven incense cedars and one douglas fir. All these will be destroyed in order to make the area as a whole safe from fire
