The gals, from left to right, are Olga Connolly who threw 172 feet, two inches for a new meet record; Earlene Brown, who placed second with 154-foot, 5-inch effort; Japan's Seiko Obonai [pictured], 150 feet, 3 inches, and Melody McCarthy.
