Description
Photograph of Indian villages on the ancient Indian ranchero at Mission San Miguel, ca.1880. The ruins of a long adobe wall in the foreground at left obscure much of the village from view. The village is behind the wall, and consists mainly of small buildings. One of them has a painted sign that reads "Kleeno". A line of utility poles runs parallel to the adobe ruins through the town, and a line of hills runs the same direction behind the village. There is a single tall pole in the foreground at right.
