Description
Seventh-grade girls from Marshall School, at Twenty-Eighth and G Streets, take a moment from a fashion show to pose for this June 1922 photograph. The show was an annual event that enabled pupils to show off products from their sewing class. In addition to a fashion walk for parents, the event also included piano and singing selections. Under the guidance of sewing instructor, Ms. Mercedes McGinnis, the first show was held in 1920.
