Description
Photograph of construction of the Boulder Dam, ca.1934. Dim water collects in the foreground on the right with thin, dirt roads lying along the edges and continuing into the construction site beneath the dam at center. Several long buildings and automobiles line the small roadways which wind around two shallow craters in the land in front of the dam. Several lines and metal walkways extend over craters from the rock wall on the left to the wall on the right. Compared to the crowded work site, the castle-like dam appears to be under very little construction.
