Susan Goldman Rubin discusses her book, “Steven Spielberg.” She begins by explaining that Spielberg made his first movie at age 11, and explored his creativity in filmmaking at an early age. She talks about how she was the first author who was able to interview his family members and watch clips of his early films. She describes that Spielberg made “E.T.” because of the loneliness he felt from his parents’ divorce. Rubin discusses how he went to school in Long Beach, California to be close to Universal Studios. She ends the interview by talking about the preparations that Spielberg makes for his films.
