Description
Photograph of throngs of people crowding the Long Beach pier and pavilion, California, ca.1895. The crowds of people pack both levels of the pier as well as the beach. Several American flags, situated above the pavilion, are waving. Several small buildings (or shacks?) are located next to the pavilion and pier on the sandy beach. Horse-drawn carriages are nonchalantly parked at various locations on the beach.
