Photograph caption dated July 29, 1965 reads "Ted Nelson, of the Southern California Striders, left, and Jim Bacus sprint towards the end of the mile run last night at Pierce College. Nelson was the winner in 4:18.0. Pierce hosts an All-Comers track meet every Wednesday night during the summer." Pierce College is in Woodland Hills.
