Image shows full-length portrait of Les Henry (1883-1960), secretary at the Palos Verdes Golf Club, finishing his golf swing on the golf course, wearing a pull-over sweater and plus-fours. Mr. Henry, an investment broker and president of the California division of the American Athletic Untion, was instrumental in helping bring the 1932 Olympics to Los Angeles. The Palos Verdes golf course is visible in background. The two-story, eleven-room Spanish-style clubhouse, located at 3301 Via Campesina in Val Monte, opened November 15, 1924.
