Description
This photo shows the house of tragedy in La Crescenta. Mrs. Elmore had left her husband on Sunday after they quarreled over a fishing trip he took. "My purpose in going after her last night was to frighten her--I never intended to harm a hair of her head," Elmore told police. The witnesses said he shouted, "You can't run away from me," as he fired on his wife. Photo dated: July 28, 1938.
