On the left several older men stand in dark suits and hats looking out onto the water on the right where children can be seen running along the water's edge. The large, lightly-colored Capitola Hotel stands at center in the background with many windows in the walls above the large porch out front. Several smaller, lightly-colored buildings stand next to the it on the left. Trees line the hill behind the buildings in the background.
