Description
On the corner of Seventh and K Street, shown is the Capitol Hotel as well as Lavenson’s Shoes, with the word capitol having been spelled c-a-p-i-t-a-l in relation to this building. This image is from circa 1910, during a period of time when Sacramento was undergoing a transition from horse-drawn carriages to motorized vehicles. Built in the late 1800s, this building was in use even after the turn of the century, however it no longer stands and its space has been used by various businesses over time.
