Photograph of Shinamo Camp on the north side of Bass's Ferry, Grand Canyon, ca.1900-1930. A man stands among four burros at the camp site where a tent has been pitched and blankets hang on ropes. A dramatic stratified rock face (tilted algonkian strata -- proterozoic) stands behind the camp. In the rocky foreground grows wild brush.
