HMF at Greater New Bethel Baptist Church, 601 E. 99th Street, Los Angeles, California; 7:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. Devotional/Praise & Worship led by Reverend Earl Pleasant "I Just Wanna Praise, "How Excellent," "Give Glory to God Saints" -- Prayer by Pastor Pleasant, "We Are Standing on Holy Ground" -- M.C. April Parker, conference review/preview -- Margaret Douroux speaking -- Shanon Timmons (soloist) "I Will Heal Your Land" -- Prayer by Rev. Rodney Teal -- Song reprise with Shanon Timmons and Jordan Parker duet -- Prentiss Minner, "Who Kept Us Since the Last Time, "Who Kept Us Since the Last Time," and "He Decided," Margaret Douroux on electric piano -- Margaret Douroux introduces Melodi Lovely, vocal & organ, who sings M.P. Douroux songs "I Need Mercy" and "Take It All" -- Invitation to Discipleship by Rev. E. Pleasant and Offering, Rev. Rodney Teal on electric piano -- Rodena Preston (President), Herman Jones (choir director) and the Los Angeles Chapter of GMWA perform "We Are on Our Way" and medley of Margaret P. Douroux songs "If It Had Not Been (Where Would I Be)," "High Praise," "Trouble At the River (I Don't Want)," "I Need to See Your Face" (Soloist Tony Woods), "Give Me a Clean Heart," and "Give Me a Clean Heart" -- Reprise by audience participants Diane Robertson, Victoria Woodard, Shanon Timmons, Bernetta Townsend-Dean -- Closing by Margaret Douroux & Rev. Fadell. Part of Gospel Archiving in Los Angeles (GALA), a yearlong partnership between the Heritage Music Foundation (HMF) and the UCLA Ethnomusicology Archive, funded by a UCLA in LA Community Partnership grant, 2004-2005.
