Area includes Broadway, Hill Street, and Olive Street between First Street and Second Street. The residence of Joseph Mesmer is in the foreground. A large tree at left obscures nearly half the view of houses at left. About twenty buildings are shown in total. All the homes are of varying height. They are built on a hillside that climbs into the background. All buildings shown are either single-level or two-story.
