Valley Times TODAY article dated September 26, 1960 partially reads, "Appearing before 200 Democratic party officials and workers at the Sportsmen's Lodge, Brown urged the election of Gale Kernahan [center] to the Assembly from the 64th District, Charles Manfred [right] from the 57th, and James Corman to Congress from the 22nd District. Television entertainer Steve Allen [standing] was the master of ceremonies for the dinner."
