Text on Back: "Top Row: Clarence, Frank. Middle Row: Fred, Nell, Pegge, Ethel (father) Oscar R., (mother) Ella Brumbly R., Daughter-in-Law/wife of Clarence), Emma, Ed, Hazel. Bottom Row: Leila, Lina, Melvin, Bill, Homer, (in rompers - Grandson, son of Clarence and Emma), Merle, Eleanor. Standing in front of the living room of their 2-story home on their Echo Ranch, four miles north of San Juan Capistrano (West side of the San Diego Freeway, between Avery and Crown Valley Parkway exits). A grove of eucalyptus trees stands behind what was the location of their house. The house stood on the east bank of the Oso Creek. Ella named the ranch the Echo Ranch when they purchased it from Oscar's mother for $2,100 in the mid-1890s. - Merle 1980"
