Description
People gather in formal dress for a meal inside the hall. Servants dressed in all white stand beside the dining tables. The date at the top of the photograph indicates May 1962, but the photograph is likely from sometime before 1922, when Sumner Hall was relocated. An accompanying caption reads: "The dinning (sic) room at Sumner Hall (The boom Hotel) where first Christian service was held in Claremont. Continued to be held there till Holmes Hall was bltd."
