Description
When this picture was taken it was the First National Bank as built in 1909. Postcard to Myron C. Burr, Van Couver, BC from his mother. To the right of the bank are two shoe shops -- F.B. Hunt at 205 E Orange or H.F. Roork at 107 E Orange, then a rooming house, a Blacksmith shop run by James Maher at 111 E Orange (before that run by John I.W. Fisher), then Alex McAlonan's Central House (a rooming house) at 121 E Orange. The building under construction with unfinished parapet at far left is the W.H. Evans building built 1909.
